Twilla- Mudroom- Texas Inspiration

Ramsey and Logan "helped"
So, my dear friend Twilla, who lives in New York and whom I havent seen since I quit doing MaggieNMe trade shows, still sends me cast callings, and the latest in magazines inquiries.  So she sent me this one today, and I decided to take her up on it, and send it into Working Mothers magazine.

Here is the project, transform your "mud room," with a new novel idea to organize and get those kiddos to put things up and make it still look cute!   So ofcourse I initially thought of Pottery Barn's adorable bins and baskets and fabulous bench seat with hooks.

So I looked around my house, and said, I can create that!  Come on. . .  And I did!
What I used as my new novel idea, is I grabbed my picnic bench sitting outside, and used it for my storage area.  I placed a few sage green star hooks above it, within the kids reach so they can hang things up themselves, and added a few baskets underneath to collect all their things.
Baskets on top or shoes on top it works either way. . .
My sweet front porch.  I am about to get rid of that old piano today, and put a twin bed there, and make some big pillows out of outdoor fabric, to create a kind of day bed area.  I want this porch to be more lazy, where you could sit out here and read a book and then fall asleep for hours.
Voila. . . . .
The end result  of my new Storage area- Mud Room!

Our little sitting area on the porch.
